Although it has been popular in other countries for generations, it is a relatively new breed of cat to this country, and is still a rather rare find. The Siberian has a semi-long coat in the winter, which shortens to a medium length during the summer months. This cat can be quite loyal to his owners, and some will even greet you at the door when you come home or come to you when you call him. This makes the Siberian a large domestic cat breed that can make a good companion for individuals and families alike.
